Flowers
I don't really show flowers as I don't have the time to prepare and stage them. I do like to grow them tho, and today I went through and picked everything with an open center or that looked like it may well be going over to keep them flowering. I still have about 60 plants to do so my mum will be getting a lot of flowers this week.

I show a few flowers myself and there's no secret.....just fresh blooms with no sign of disease, weather or pest damage.
There looks to be a few decent vases there....I'd have a go if I were you.
I grow all the show variety flowers and to a good standard. I do find it hard to do all my veg and flowers tho. I need to employ someone for the day lol.
I normally grow a field full of them for cut flowers for friends family, graves and dry flowers for winter.
I may enter a few at my local in 2 weeks time if I have time. My first show is on Monday and my dahlias look great, but honestly I won't have the time to prepare them as I'm working all weekend.
I have about 160 dahlias growing but I'm not really experienced in them to show them with so many sizes and types it just confuses me lol.
